Praying for LA.

LA is burning. I don’t even know how to fully put it into words—entire neighborhoods are gone, families have been forced to pack up their lives in a matter of minutes, and the air feels heavy with loss. This isn’t some far-off disaster; it’s here, in our home.

To the firefighters and first responders out there on the front lines—thank you. You’re doing the impossible, and I know I’m not alone in saying we’re endlessly grateful for you. I can’t imagine what you’re going through right now, but please know this city sees you, appreciates you, and has your back.

For anyone under evacuation orders, please listen. Don’t wait, don’t try to tough it out. Your safety comes first. Grab your essentials—family, pets, whatever you can—and go. Things can be replaced, but you can’t.

And for the rest of us—this is the time to show up. If you can donate supplies like food, water, or blankets, do it. If you know someone who needs a place to stay, open your home if you can. Even just checking in on people goes a long way right now.
